1st ICFAI National Trial Advocacy Competition, 2023

The ICFAI University, ICFAI Law School, Dehradun is proud to announce its 1st ICFAI National Trial Advocacy Competition, 2023

INVITATION

ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI University, Dehradun is pleased to announce its 1st National Trial Advocacy Competition, 2023, which is to be held in hybrid mode. The Prelims and Quarters would be conducted in online mode, i.e., from 2nd December 2023 to 3rd December 2023 respectively; followed by the Semi-finals on 23rd December 2023 and the finals on 24th December 2023, both to be held on-campus at the ICFAI University, Dehradun. This competition is organized in synchronization with the vision and objective of the ICFAI University, i.e., acquiring domain knowledge, developing professional skills, and its application in the practical world. The competition strives to give a platform to the budding lawyers of our country to imbibe analytical skills in real-time situations. The ultimate aim is to engage with students and allow them to experience the complexities of the law.


Eligibility

The competition is open for students who are studying LLB three year or five-year courses during the current academic year.

 

Team Composition

The team composition, for the competition, shall be comprised of 5 (five) members (2 Speakers and 3 Witnesses) OR 4(Four) Members (2 Speakers and 2 Witnesses).

 

Registration Details

Registrations are open from 3rd October. The teams must register online by 24th November. 

Institutions/Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to provisionally register by filling this form and only after confirmation of provisional slot by the Organizers, should they complete the formalities of the final registration.

Only the teams who have received confirmation of provisional registration via an e-mail from the Organizers must submit the registration form which shall be mailed to the submitted email ID and pay the registration fee provided in the mail.

 

· Only 32 teams will be registered to participate in the competition on a first-come-first- serve basis.

· Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive approval as acceptance of their request for participation within 4 days of registration.

 

The teams can register by filling in the Google form which will be sent to provisionally registered email ID.  The Registration process would be concluded only after full payment of the registration fee.

 

A non-refundable registration fee of INR 2500/- is to be paid online by 22nd October 2022.
